Mudar Alhaggi is a dramatist and playwright who graduated from the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts, Department of Dramatic Studies in 2004. He designed for years interactive activities for children and trained teams offering these activities.

Alhaggi participated in several writing workshops and art residencies in Europe and the Arab world, and launched in 2013, the So On And So Forth project, a series of writing and documentation workshops for Syrian refugees. The purpose of the project revolves around holding writing and documentation workshops with Syrian refugees in Lebanon, and subsequently in Europe (Beirut, Graz, Dresden, Berlin, Zurich).

In 2017, he co-founded a (Ma’louba), a collective of Syrian dramatists in Germany, and in 2018, he co-founded the Nawras Foundation to support Syrian artists in Germany. He currently resides in Berlin.

Preparing the text of the show (Just an Enemy of the People) presented in Damascus 2008, being the dramatist if the (Now, Here, There) Show presented in Berlin and across several German cities in 2013, being the dramatist and directing (Following the Steps) show in Damascus in 2011-2012. Alhaggi was the dramatist of the show entitled Above Zero (Beirut 2014), he also directed the show entitled «A thousand tents and Beirut tent» in 2014. He was also the dramatist and the supervisor the platforms of the future’s project (Theatre Writing Workshop) in Beirut 2015-2016, not to mention being the dramatist and overseeing the performance of (41 hours). The show was performed in Bern and Zurich-Switzerland 2016. Alhaggi directed (Days in the Sun) in Mulheim, Germany in 2018.
